Definition
A Population pyramid consists of horizontal bars emerging from a centerline in both directions of the X-axis. The bars emerging to the left indicate the population of males, while bars emerging from the right indicate females. The bars are arranged in such a way, that the top bar shows the newborn population and the age bracket increases as we go down, this visualization looks like a pyramid.

We need this chart to visualize a region’s or a country’s distribution of various age groups. By this distribution pattern, we can analyze the trend of population and if any irregularity arises, then it could be improved by certain measures.
